PPA (Polyphthalamide )聚鄰苯二甲酰胺，在高溫高濕狀態(tài)下，PPA的抗拉強(qiáng)度比尼龍6高20%，比尼龍66更高；PPA材料的彎曲模量比尼龍高20%，硬度更大，能抗長(zhǎng)時(shí)間的拉伸蠕變；且PPA的耐汽油、耐油脂和冷卻劑的能力也比PA強(qiáng)；一種耐高溫尼龍，這種材料可以耐200℃的持續(xù)高溫，并且還能保持良好的尺寸穩(wěn)定性。
聚鄰苯二甲酰胺（簡(jiǎn)稱(chēng)PPA）樹(shù)脂是以對(duì)苯二甲酸或間苯二甲酸為原料的半芳香族聚酰胺。既有半結(jié)晶態(tài)的，也有非結(jié)晶態(tài)的，其玻璃化溫度在255°F左右。非結(jié)晶態(tài)的PPA主要用于要求阻隔性能的場(chǎng)合；半結(jié)晶態(tài)的PPA樹(shù)脂主要用于注塑加工，也用于其它熔融加工工藝。下文主要介紹后者——半結(jié)晶態(tài)PPA樹(shù)脂，特別注明的除外。半結(jié)晶態(tài)PPAS的熔點(diǎn)約為590°F，以不透明矩形切片的形式供應(yīng)。
